Winners for The Leadership Awards 2022 revealed

The awards programme, which took place at Hilton London Bankside last night (23 March), formed a part of Credit Week - which brings together an entire ecosystem of credit and financial services professionals for a week of learning, networking and celebrating. 

The awards - which was also supported by its sustainability partner ALPHERA Financial Services - were developed to celebrate those individuals who are leading the way in markets facing a lot of change in the coming months, including car finance, alternative lending and mortgages. 

Deciding the winners of each award were an independent panel of judges featuring some of the industry’s leading figures, including chief risk officers and chief executives at the likes of NewDay, Vodafone, Oakbrook Finance and Revolut. 

The ceremony was opened by Credit Strategy chief executive Luke Broadhurst, with those in attendance then being entertained by the evening’s host, stand-up comedian Alun Cochrane. The event also raised money for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

Among the winners at last night’s awards included NatWest’s Julie Ashmore, who took home the Business Leader of the Year - Alternative/Consumer Finance award and Augustine Gyapong from mycashline, winner of the Outstanding Leader in Risk award. 

Becky Lerman from Mann Island Finance, meanwhile, took home the Outstanding Leader in Operations - sponsored by Sopra Steria - award and BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK’s Andrew Goodfellow received the Outstanding Leader in Collection - sponsored by C&R Software - award.
