Secretary of state to attend Parliamentary Reception

Taking place at the Palace of Westminster, the exclusive event - which is also sponsored by Experian and ALPHERA Financial Services - will provide a rare opportunity to discuss the challenges ahead for the industry with policymakers. 

It forms part of Credit Week, the largest gathering of credit professionals in Europe, which will bring together experts from across the credit and financial services industry for a period of learning, networking and celebrating. 

The Parliamentary Reception’s programme will cover themes such as financial inclusion, debt management, customer vulnerability, financial wellness and credit management. 

The reception will also feature an economy update and discussions on the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme and the Bounce Back Loan Scheme.  

Along with John Glen, fellow parliamentarians Lisa Cameron, Nigel Mills, Shaun Bailey and Yvonne Fovargue will be in attendance, as will former shadow chancellor Chris Leslie.  

In addition to the Parliamentary Reception, the week will play host to the Credit Summit, headline sponsored by Equifax, and The Leadership Awards, sponsored by ALPHERA Financial Services, C&R Software and Sopra Steria. 

This is the first year Credit Week will be returning as an in-person event since 2019, so delegates will not only be able to hear from industry experts face-to-face but also reconnect with peers this way.
