Credit Strategy is delighted to reveal the winners of the Collections & Customer Service (CCS) Awards 2019 and Utilities & Telecoms (U&T) Awards 2019, which were presented at the Collections & Vulnerability Summit Annual Dinner.

This year, for the first time, the Collections and Customer Service (CCS) Awards was held alongside the Utilities & Telecoms (U&T) Awards.
The annual dinner, which followed the Collections & Vulnerability Summit, was the culmination of a major gathering of credit and collections professionals, working across the financial services, energy, water, telecoms and public sectors.
In total, there were 12 U&T and 22 CCS winners on the night.
United Utilities were the evening’s biggest winners, collecting four awards in Best Vulnerable Customer Support Initiative, Best Vulnerable Customer Support Team, Transformation Programme of the Year and Water Team of the Year – Collections. The latter award was its third in as many years.
Vodafone UK took Telecoms & Home Media Team of the Year, while in the only U&T individual award, Three’s Fiona Winton took Agent of the Year.
In CCS, Mark Brown of Virgin Money’s credit services team was named Agent of the Year, while Barclays’ Tom Bamber was Agent of the Year – Vulnerable Customers.
Best Customer Service Provider went to MotoNovo Finance, while Indesser and The Cabinet Office took Best Public Sector Collections Team.
Meanwhile, Mortimer Clarke Solicitors won Best Legal Services Provider for the second year running.
Cabot Credit Management won took the Debt Purchaser of the Year award, while Responsible Debt Seller of the Year was won by Barclays. Santander Consumer Finance’s Katherine O’Sullivan won Vulnerability Champion for her work advocating for vulnerable customers.

Guests were entertained by comedian Justin Moorhouse, who is best known for his role in Phoenix Nights and on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Fighting Talk.
There was also time for generosity, as £9,244 was raised for Christians Against Poverty.
