British Gas has been chosen by regulator Ofgem to supply energy to customers of PfP Energy and MoneyPlus Energy, ensuring they continue to receive an uninterrupted supply of gas and electricity.

Part of Ofgem’s Supplier of Last Resort process, it comes after both suppliers collapsed on 7 September 2021.
PfP Energy currently serves around 80,000 domestic customers and around 5,000 business customers, while MoneyPlus Energy supplies around 9,000 domestic customers. In the coming weeks, British Gas will be in touch with PfP Energy and MoneyPlus Energy customers on the process of moving over.
As part of this process, customers will need to take a meter reading and provide this to British Gas when prompted to make sure they are billed accurately.
