Gender issues are important for a thriving profession and the Women in Credit brand highlights and encourages more debate on these issues. From board representation, diversity policies, gender pay, returning to work, as well as differences in leadership styles, we believe there is a place for a platform to highlight and discuss these matters. The awards form a pivotal part of the Women in Credit brand which Credit Strategy continues to grow through a series of forums and networking events.
Maria Harros, Atom Bank, Women in Credit awards judge
"I wanted to give my time to recognise the women who’ve led their teams or businesses while redefining the gender balance of our industry. There are so many inspiring examples of driving change or shaping culture and for me, it’s important that we shine a light on these to attract and retain our very talented people. Being nominated for an award can be an affirming and life-changing experience for the nominee but it also provides the rest of us with role models and real-life stars to aspire to. Being a judge is an honour and I’m looking forward to hearing and sharing the stories of all our nominees."

SUZI RUFFELL - 2020 Host

Suzi’s innovative style captivates audiences with her engrossing tales of social ineptitude. Lauded as ‘a real stand up gem’ by The Guardian this young independent woman celebrates her working class roots with a sideways look at the world.

Regarded as one of best up and coming acts, Suzi was nominated for the Best Breakthrough Act at The Chortle Awards in 2017. She is in constant demand at clubs and theatres across Britain. Fast establishing herself on the live circuit supporting Alan Carr, Josh Widdicombe and Kevin Bridges on tour she then went onto have a sell-out double header tour with Romesh Ranganathan in the spring of 2015. Her 2016 and 2017 runs at the Edinburgh Festival saw her sell-out and receive critical acclaim nabbing the working-class comedy crown of her generation.
