Q: What kind of work/cases have you been working on since lockdown?
A: The usual variety of corporate and individual recovery cases for office-holders. There’s a lot of them
around. Disguised remuneration cases are quite the flavour at the moment.
Q: When do you think we’ll start to see an increase in corporate insolvencies?
A: When Covid is over and we start to feel the cold wind from the rest of Europe. Next year will be busy.
Q: What advice would you give to the next generation of people working in either turnaround, restructuring or insolvency?
A: Think ethically. It also makes business sense.
Q: What do you think is the biggest challenge, or issue, for those working to rescue businesses?
A: Overcoming negative public and political perceptions of what insolvency is and what insolvency
professionals do; but it won’t improve...
Q: Without giving too much away, what do you hope delegates will learn from your session at the TRI Conference?
A: A bit about “what it says on the tin”, which is a modest but realistic hope.
Q: What other sessions are you looking forward to at this year’s TRI Conference?
A: There’s always something to be learned (or re-learned) from everyone who contributes.
