The awards programme, hosted on March 15 during Credit Week, has a noble aim to highlight some of the excellent work and achievements of women in the credit industry.
Hosting the awards will be Crista Cullen MBE, an Olympic gold medal winning English field hockey player.

After receiving an overwhelming number of impressive and meaningful entries for the awards, and in particular the ‘Woman of the Year’ category, the panel decided to create a new ‘Judges Special Award’ to reflect another of the finalists’ hard work and achievements.
Credit Strategy has additional plans to develop the Women in Credit brand into a series of networking events to help women build more contacts to achieve their aims and a mentoring group to do likewise.
The first networking events will be held at the Household Credit Conference in Nottingham (September 19) and the Collections Debt Sale and Purchase (CDSP) Conference in Manchester (November 21).
Kamala Panday, Credit Strategy’s publishing director, who started this initiative, said: “More women work in the financial services sector than men. The gender dial in financial services at senior levels has not moved much. So there’s a problem. This matters for the economy as financial services – the biggest component of job functions within credit – is our highest paid sector, with the widest gender pay gap.”
Sponsors on the night include Hitachi Capital, Telrock, Lowell and AccountScore.
