The winners of the Car Finance Awards 2016 have been revealed, setting new benchmarks for excellence in UK point-of-sale.
After a conference that saw 24 leaders from finance houses, brokers and dealers bump heads in a series of panel debates, Credit Strategy’s first awards night for the sector kicked off with an audience of more than 220.
During the ceremony, hosted by journalist and presenter Vicki Butler-Henderson, ten firms took home 16 awards, prompting a celebration that lasted well into the early hours of the morning.
The biggest winner of the night was relative newcomer Blue Motor Finance, taking home three gongs, while Black Horse, GM Financial, BMW Financial Services and Moneybarn all boasted double wins on the evening.
Managing editor and master of ceremonies Fred Crawley said: “After losing sleep at the prospect of launching a new event in the sector, I couldn’t have been happier to lose another night celebrating with the industry’s best.”
Lenders, brokers and dealers alike submitted fantastic entries to the scheme’s inaugural year, and it was an honour to present them their trophies. I wish the winners’ rivals all the best over the year to come as they work to knock their competitors off the top spot.”
I’m tremendously grateful to the judges, sponsors, dinner guests, finalists and winners who allowed this event to match the calibre of its attendees.”
Thanks to the generosity of guests, the night raised more than £2,500 for chosen charity BEN, a not-for-profit organisation supporting those who work, or have worked, in the automotive industry and their family dependents.
Nigel Williams, head of business innovation at BEN, said: ‘Many thanks to Credit Strategy for asking us to be the charity for the inaugural awards dinner. We had a great time, and were very pleased with the amount that we raised. I hope we can continue the relationship for next year!”
