The event bookmarked the end of Credit Week, a series of conferences, meetings, and industry networking.

Senior directors within banks, law firms, debt purchasers and advice charities attended the evening. They were joined by firms from the breadth of the industry - creditors, debt collection agencies and technology providers.

The host for the evening, Olympic gold medal winning English field hockey player and elephant conservationist, Crista Cullen MBE, took to the stage to talk about her progression as a woman in sports, as well as the challenges she has faced.

During the evening guests raised more than £2,800 for the Orchid Project, a charity that was set up in 2010 to end female genital cutting (FGC). The charity partners with organisations and stakeholders from across the world to raise awareness about the issue and campaign for a world free from FGC.

The evening was supported by a range of sponsors including Hitachi Capital, Telrock, Lowell and AccountScore.

Credit Strategy has additional plans to develop the Women in Credit brand into a series of networking events to help women build more contacts to achieve their aims and a mentoring group to do likewise.

The first networking events will be held at the Household Credit Conference in Nottingham (September 19) and the Collections Debt Sale and Purchase (CDSP) Conference in Manchester (November 21).

If you attended the event and would like the chance to win a magnum of vintage champagne, fill in this form.
