Award nominations are now open and the most popular categories from last year are returning, alongside a host of new categories that champion individual successes within the industry.

Taking place on the same date as the general election, last year’s awards proved to be the only party with a majority backing; the results of a survey show that 100 percent of polled attendees recommended the event.

Event leader Fred Crawley said: “After the success of the last two events, I honestly can’t wait to return to an event that’ll be bigger and better next year.”

Once again, the categories have been designed to encompass a range of lenders and pioneering technology developers.

Crawley added: “Whether you think you’re the best independent lender in the UK, you’ve got a technology you think could change the market, or you work with a relationship manager who deserves national recognition, there’s a category in here that’s right for you.

“I can’t wait to read the entries as they come in, and celebrate with the nominees on the night.”

The 2018 awards include categories such as: Car Finance Business Leader of the Year; Customer Service Excellence; and Best Service for Dealers and Best Use of Technology. This year’s judging panel will once again include senior professionals from the industry.

The awards are £200 to enter but are free to until March 2 2018 and only involve a 500-word nomination.

Last year’s awards gathered more than 200 car finance professionals to the event who collectively raised around £1,800 for Credit Strategy’s chosen charity Children’s Trust.

The Car Finance Conference is taking place just before the awards and a preview of the agenda is now available to view.

This year’s theme is of a forward-looking market untethering its self from the UKs economic cycles and reflecting the current uncertainty surrounding the industry.

Representing a refreshing break from the standard format with a truly interactive conference, the day will showcase five panel debates on controversial topics including online finance sales, dealer commission rules and manufacturer strategy post-Brexit.

Tickets are now on sale at a super early bird rate and can be purchased here.
