New categories launched for Utilities & Telecoms Awards

Credit Strategy has refreshed the Utilities & Telecoms Awards with a series of new categories, to give a wider range of different teams the opportunity for more direct recognition.

Now in its eighth year, the Utilities & Telecoms Awards champions the exceptional achievements of professionals working in credit and collections across the energy, water and telecoms and home media industries.

 

For 2018, the Credit Strategy team has added new categories, and split others into two, to ensure that specific teams working for an energy, water or telecoms provider can enter a category focussed either on credit, or collections, that’s more directly relevant for them.

 

A few categories also have widened entry criteria, to enable service providers to enter more categories.

 

Some of the new additions for this year along with the previous categories now split into two, and the companies that can enter them, are as follows:

 

Best Outsourced Call Centre Operation
Who can enter?
Debt collection agencies (DCAs), debt purchasers, BPOs and third-party servicers of all kinds operating a call centre/centres, to serve the utilities or telecoms sectors.

 

Energy Team of the Year – Collections
Who can enter?
Teams performing a collections function in-house for a creditor in the energy sector, plus collections teams within a DCA, law firm, debt purchaser or BPO, working for an energy creditor.

 

Energy Team of the Year – Credit
Who can enter?
Teams performing a credit and debt management function within a creditor in the energy sector.

 

Water Team of the Year – Collections
Who can enter?
Teams performing a collections function in-house for a water supplier, plus collections teams within a DCA, law firm, debt purchaser or BPO, working for a water supplier.

 

Water Team of the Year – Credit
Teams performing a credit and debt management function within a water supplier.

 

Agent of the Year – Vulnerable Customers
Who can enter?
An agent working in a role or team that focusses specifically on vulnerable customers, for any of the following: Energy or water suppliers, telecoms providers, DCAs, debt purchasers, BPOs and third-party servicers.

 

Agent of the Year – Customer Service
Who can enter?
An individual agent working in a general collections/customer service role for any of the following: Energy or water suppliers, telecoms providers, DCAs, debt purchasers, BPOs and third-party servicers.

This year the awards take place at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel on September 19.

 

The U&T Awards will take place the evening of the Household Credit Conference. Gathering water, energy and telecoms professionals in credit, risk, collections and compliance, the conference returns for its ninth year.
