Marston Holdings has announced its acquisition of field collection services company Engage Services.
Engage, based in Blackburn, specialises in non-court order based field collections, an area in which Marston had not previously had a strong presence.
Engage (formerly Chase Solutions) has an extensive network of field agents operating across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and provides field-based collections to a range of utilities, financial services and public sector clients.
The company is fully authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and the FCA has formally approved the change of control. The business has a team of employed and self-employed agents, all using bespoke handheld technology, which cover the Republic of Ireland as well as the islands off the mainland UK.
Engage becomes the third Marston business to have full FCA authorisation in respect of regulated debt collection activity.
Michael Wolfenden, commercial director of Engage, and strategic director Gary Jones remain on the board and will continue to run the business.
Pamela Mulcahy, Marstons communications and policy director, said: “Engage is strongly positioned in the field services market segment. It has an excellent track record of engaging with customers in an effective, sensitive manner, and has made significant investment in technology. We are delighted that they have joined us.”
