Lowell has taken a less traditional route to recruit 100 new employees by launching a social media campaign.
#LifeAtLowell will aim to fill positions within customer service, IT and credit and risk at its Leeds-based office.
Lowell’s resourcing and recruitment manager, Emma Piper, said: “Recent research carried out by Aberdeen Group showed that 73 percent of job seekers aged 18 to 34 found their last job through social media.”
Research by the Aberdeen Group showed that 70 percent of job seekers surveyed used their mobile device to search for jobs and 51 percent used them to apply for jobs.
The research also found that the time it took to secure a job was nearly 10 percent quicker when an application was sent from a mobile device compared to when a device was not used.
Lowell’s campaign will be promoted online via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
