Coming straight after Credit Strategy’s Car Finance Conference, the awards celebrated a range of companies, from manufacturers boosting motor retail with finance campaigns, to lenders helping those with poor credit histories get onto the road, to the dealers making it all come together on the forecourt. The night highlighted brilliance in an industry rarely credited for its contribution to the UK economy.

This year new categories were added such as Best Company to Work for, Best Relationship Manager, Car Finance Personality of the Year and Gamechanger.

Big winners on the night included Vauxhall Finance which picked up two awards for Best Company to Work for in Car Finance and Best Manufacturer Finance Provider.

Black Horse, whose director of products, propositions and business enablement, Jim McCaffrey, delivered a keynote speech at the conference, took the trophy for Customer Service Excellence while MotoNovo Finance scooped the coveted Innovation Award.

The Car Finance Awards is also about reflecting individual talent and one name to watch is Laura Barker (pictured above) at DSG Financial Services, who took home the judges award for Rising Star.

On the night guests from across the industry raised just under £2,000 for The Children’s Trust, a charity that runs a range of specialist care, education and therapy services for children and young people from across the UK, including the UK’s largest rehabilitation centre for children with brain injuries.

Guests were also entertained during the awards by former Formula One racing driver Perry McCarthy – the man who was originally The Stig on BBC’s Top Gear.

Credit Strategy would like to thank all the awards sponsors – Intelligent Environments, Amigo Loans, Evolution Funding, Equiniti Pancredit and event supporter CarDealer.

The conference and awards will return next year but for now, the full winners can be seen below.
