The index, which will be announced during Credit Week, extends the reach of Credit Strategy’s Credit 100 providing for a more comprehensive round up of key credit players.

The Credit 500 is to include representatives from car finance, international trade credit, trade bodies and other credit influencers, utilities and telecoms, public sector, commercial finance as well as consumer credit.

The scheme is open to self-nomination as well as selection by the CS’s team in consultation with a steering committee of industry experts.

Nominations close on February 24 and the Credit 500 will be announced at the Credit 500 gala dinner when the current Credit 100 will move into our hall of fame for life.

The consumer credit 100 members will have exclusive access to a members-only zone on creditstrategy.co.uk with access to a weekly survey.

This enables index members to share insights and trade viewpoints which will be tracked and shared over time.

Credit 500 members will also get a host of other benefits including:

  • Free places at Credit Strategy conferences and gala dinners
  • Additional free subscriptions to CS magazine
  • Opportunities to be involved in judging panels and steering committees
  • Usage of a Credit 500 logo for social media, CVs and email signatures ensuring recognition of their status in the profession
