Coming straight after Credit Strategy’s Household Credit Conference, the awards celebrated a range of teams and individuals who represent best practice in credit risk and collections across the energy, water and telecoms sectors.
The night’s big winners included Pure Planet, the new eco-driven energy supplier, along with British Gas and in the individual category, Tom Somerville, director at the debt collection agency Orbit.
During the night Dan Hewitt, marketing and solutions director at Capita, said: “It is absolutely essential that we recognise the real improvements and real outstanding performance of our industries.
“With so much change on the horizon – political and economic uncertainties, regulatory and technological evolution, and with unprecedented customer demands and expectations – recognising and replicating what we do best is crucially important to what we will do better in the future.”
On the night guests from across the industry raised just under £1,160 for The Children’s Trust, a charity that runs a range of specialist care, education and therapy services for children and young people from across the UK, including the UK’s largest rehabilitation centre for children with brain injuries.
Guests were also entertained during the awards by Canadian comedian Sean Collins who has appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow and Live at the Apollo.
The conference and awards will return next year but for now, the full winners can be seen below.
