The Credit Summit, returning for its 10th year and taking place as part of Credit Week, will feature seven individual conferences for professionals across the entire spectrum of credit.

A series of regulatory and economic experts will be speaking on the day, including broadcaster Evan Davis who returns to give his political and economic forecast for the third year running.

The three new conferences are as follows:

Utilities & Telecoms will cover engagement with vulnerable customers, the benefits of data sharing, and collections strategies. The idea of increased regulatory synergy will also feature.

Distribution Risk is a new theme to be covered at the Credit Summit. It will feature debates on the current challenges for brokered industries and whether or not AI and robo advice should be integrated into all systems. Other topics to be discussed will focus around regulation, including accountability, SMCR and GDPR.

Credit Risk will take a deeper look at assessing customer affordability and the use of credit assessments. It will also focus on how alternative data can be used in credit assessments and whether or not the key market players are financially inclusive.

The last of these conferences will take place during the second half of the day, following plenary sessions in the morning. Speakers for these will be announced soon.

A new website explains the series of events and provides examples of executives from the established banks, challenger banks, utility firms and regulators, who were in attendance at Credit Week 2017.

The Credit Summit forms the centrepiece of Credit Week. Credit Week also includes the parliamentary reception, CDSP: European NPL and the Credit 500 Gala - Find out more here. Tickets for the Credit Summit and for Credit Week are now on sale and can be purchased here.
