The CICM is once again an event supporter for Credit Week 2020, taking place from March 16 to 20, and the Credit Summit will be the week’s flagship conference.

To mark the continued partnership, Credit Strategy can announce today that the conference agenda has been confirmed, and will be chaired by CICM chief executive Philip King.

Commenting on the CICM’s involvement with Credit Week 2020, Luke Broadhurst, chief executive of Credit Strategy, said: “We’re delighted that the CICM are partnering with us at Credit Week for the fourth consecutive year.

“The best partnerships strengthen over time, and the CICM has a brand perfectly aligned with what we’re trying to achieve. They are synonymous with best practice in the credit industry, and that drive to build and improve the industry is what Credit Week is all about.”

Philip King, chief executive of the CICM, said: “Credit Week 2020 will bring credit professionals together and raise the profile of the profession across industry and government. Credit Week is a key event in the calendar and the CICM sits at the heart of the credit community. We are pleased to be working together with a common purpose.”

The agenda is a culmination of the trend both Credit Strategy and The CICM have been seeing in the sector, with a theme of enhancing credit management, from exploring how digitalisation can be used to improve the credit management process, to the challenges of managing both local and global markets.

Sessions will cover everything from changes across the risk landscape, to challenges facing franchise businesses, and how digital tools can enhance credit management.

At the event trade credit professionals will hear first hand from a stellar speaker line-up composed of chief financial officers and heads of credit from major UK and global businesses.

Leading industry expert Katherine Bailey, group credit, risk and compliance manager at Valor Hospitality Partners, will presents a case study on managing franchise businesses and the challenges of complying with conflicting brand standards and how they relate to trade credit, risk and compliance.
