Amid the festivities of this year’s Credit Awards, Axa Insurance believed it had had the misfortune to lose its award for Consumer Credit and Customer Service Team of the Year.
Editor at Credit Strategy. Previously held roles at Accountancy Age, Accountancy Daily and the Leicester Mercury.
The team was one of the night’s big winners, and won its award as part of a memorable night at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair. The awards, for which Lowell were headline sponsors, featured entertainment from host and comedian Katherine Ryan (pictured).
After leaving the ceremony, one of Axa’s team was unfortunate enough to leave the trophy behind in their taxi.
However, all was not lost after the driver took to Twitter saying he had found the award in his taxi and seeking to return it to the winners.

Naturally, there was relief among the Axa team, which responded: “Thanks so much for getting in touch and keeping our trophy safe!”
An Axa spokesperson added: “In all the excitement that followed our big win, we unfortunately misplaced our award in the back of a taxi. However, the kind-hearted driver has promised to re-unite us with the trophy and it is en-route to take pride of place in our cabinet.”
