What was your journey to your role today, would you say it’s been a typical career path?

I don’t think there is a ‘typical’ career path into risk! That’s one thing I love about it is the breadth of skills of my team and their varied experiences. I’ve been fortunate to spend a lot of my time as a consultant working with lots of financial services firms, from the small to the large, across a number of different countries – the breadth of challenges, ideas, innovations that this has exposed me to have been a real asset to equip me for a CRO position.

If you weren’t working in credit and financial services, what would you be doing?

I would love to be a human rights lawyer.

What is something that not many people know about you?

I have bee hives at home as I love honey!

What is the most significant challenge facing the credit/financial services industry today?

Technological advancement and balancing this with the human element to meet the ever-changing expectations/needs of customers across the E2E lifecycle.

Which session or theme at Credit Week are you most looking forward to, and why?

I enjoy the networking the most – it’s great to meet others to share ideas / challenges etc. and take that back into my organisation to continue to innovate and grow our business.

What trend or development are you excited about in the credit /FSsector?

Our business strategy is focused on financial inclusion and making finance work for everyone – I’m therefore keen to understand more about the FCA’s focus on this and how regulation and business can work hand in hand to achieve this.

What do you hope to take away from Credit Week 2026?

New relationships and new ideas.

What advice would you give to someone who’s starting their career in the industry?

Be inquisitive, don’t be afraid to ask questions and always focus on the ‘so what, why does it matter’?
