Credit Festival – FAQ

NEW GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS – IMPORTANT UPDATES

Following the government’s announcement this weekend of new restrictions, we are pleased to confirm that Credit Festival will continue to be broadcast digitally as planned.

Credit Strategy is also following guidance issued by Oliver Dowden, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, who has stated: “Travel to a place of work will be permitted - e.g. this includes (but not exhaustive) elite sport played behind closed doors, film & tv production, and telecoms workers.

The studio in which we will be broadcasting live from, operated very successfully under safety measures during the first lockdown, and will continue to follow the appropriate guidelines once again, with extra measures in place to ensure presenters’ safety.

Please read our news article here for further information.

If you had registered to one of our conferences or award ceremonies supposed to happen earlier on this year, your ticket will have been automatically transferred to the Credit Festival. You should have received an automatic confirmation email informing you about the transfer.

The good news? You will not only have access to the conference you had initially booked: You will gain access to all of the 13 conferences and 6 award ceremonies covered by the Festival.

3. I had registered to one of Credit Strategy’s physical event initially planned to happen earlier this year. But I haven’t been notified that my ticket has been transferred to the Credit Festival.
You would have received an email confirming your ticket has been transferred to Credit Festival. If you can’t find the email, please feel free to contact our team at events@shardfinancialmedia.com to confirm the status of your registration.

4. I have registered for one of the Credit Festival’s event. Do I have access to the other conferences and awards?
Yes. A full Credit Festival pass gives you access to the Credit Festival’s 13 conferences and six digital awards.
The only exception is if you have registered for a complimentary pass for FSE-Week only. In this case, as the ticket is complimentary, you will have access to three days of broadcasted sessions as part of FSE-Week, but not the other Credit Festival digital conferences and awards ceremonies. You can upgrade your complementary FSE-Week ticket to a full Credit Festival pass here.

5. I have a Credit Festival pass but I won’t be able to tune in to all of the digital broadcasts? Will I miss out on these digital events?
Good news: All sessions of the Credit Festival will be recorded and made available on demand. After the end of the Credit Festival, you will receive a link to view the presentations on demand. The content will be in free access for a period of three months. However, as the recorded sessions will need some post-production processing, we are not yet able to communicate the exact date when the on-demand content will be made available.

6. I won’t be available on the dates of the Credit Festival but am interested in watching the session on demand. Is this possible?

8. I have heard that the conferences of the Credit Festival are CPD-accredited. How does it work?
Ahead of the conferences, please email us at events@shardfinancialmedia.com, stating the name of the digital conference you plan on watching, to let us know that you are interested in the CPD accreditation.

During the event, our networking and broadcasting platform will be able to monitor which sessions you will have logged into and for how long. The longer you watch our content, the more CPD-accreditation you get.

At the end of the event(s) you will have taken part in, our team will collate your attendance information and determine the amount of hours of content that you have watched.

This information will be sent to the Cii. They will review the information provided and issue the CPD accreditation certification.

NETWORKING & BROADCASTING PLATFORM QUESTIONS

1. What platform will be used for the broadcasting of the Credit Festival?
We are working with Brella, an award-winning broadcasting and networking platform.

2. How do I log in to the digital broadcasting for the Festival?
The first thing to note is that to guarantee the best experience and networking opportunities with the most suited experts in your field of work, each conference and award ceremony will have its own digital networking and broadcasting platform on Brella.

For each Credit Festival conference or award ceremony, you will receive a link to create an account on Brella (you will only have to do this once) as well as unique login link and code for the conference/award ceremony in question.

Here are the dates when the Brella platforms for each digital event open up and when unique login credentials are to be sent:

  • Credit Summit: 26 October
  • Women in Credit Awards: 29 October
  • Credit Awards: 30 October
  • FSE-Week: 30 October
  • Lending Summit & Car Finance Conference: 6 November
  • Lending Awards: 12 November
  • Car Finance Awards: 12 November
  • Collections & Vulnerability Summit feat. U&T and CDSP Conferences: 13 November
  • Vulnerability Awareness Gala feat, U&T and CCS Awards: 19 November

3. I haven’t received my unique login credentials for the Brella platform. What should I do?

  • First, check your spam folder to make sure that our emails haven’t landed in the wrong folder. Make sure to accept all communications from email@creditstrategy.co.uk.
  • If you can’t find an email, are you sure that you are checking the right inbox? Our team will have sent the login credentials to the email communicated during your registration. Could you have used another professional or personal email address?
  • If you still can’t find our email(s), feel free to get in touch with our team at events@shardfinancialmedia.com.

4. I have received my unique login credentials. What should I do now?
You don’t need to wait for the event to start to log in to the Brella networking and broadcasting platform.
As a matter of fact, we recommend you create a Brella account (you will only have to do it once) and log in to the conference/award ceremony in question using your unique link and code as soon as access is available.

Once logged in, you will be able to:

  • Complete your profile with your job title, company name, LinkedIn profile and a profile picture
  • Indicate your areas of interest – it is important to fill out this section as thoroughly as possible as it will give you a chance to be matched with people with similar interests
  • Check the programme and bookmark the sessions you do not want to miss
  • Check which other attendees have already logged in and send them connection requests. If they accept them, you will be able to chat and arrange virtual meetings.
  • Check our virtual exhibition space: our sponsors and exhibitors really have exciting solutions and technologies to showcase!

5. When should I log in on the day of the event?
If you anticipate having technical difficulties, it may be worthwhile to log in 5-10 minutes ahead of time to check your access. However, if you prefer to join at a later time during the day of the event, you can do so at any point.

6. Am I allowed to come and go during the conference as I wish to? Or do I need to join for the entire duration of the event?
Our virtual platform is very flexible and allows you to enter and exit sessions as you wish. This makes combining conference attendance AND other duties a seamless experience.

7. I will not be at my desk or in front of a computer for all of the Credit Festival conferences and award ceremonies? Can I tune in to the digital broadcasts with my mobile?
Yes. Simply download the Brella app on your mobile, log in to your Brella account and access the digital broadcasts with your unique link and code.

8. Can you tell me more about the matchmaking opportunities?
For each event, you will have to indicate a set of interests and goals. It is a quick but very important process, as you will be matched with other attendees sharing similar interests and goals. You are then able to book one-to-one meetings. The chat opens once the meeting is accepted so attendees can begin to network virtually.

9. I cannot hear the presentation.
If you are having trouble hearing the presentation please ensure that your sound is on, on your computer, and your speakers are set to your computer’s speakers. If you continue to experience sound issues, please contact us at events@shardfinancialmedia.com

10. Is a camera required?
No, presenters will be the only people you will see during the virtual broadcast.

11. Will there be live Q&A sessions?
Depending on the nature of the session, live Q&A may or may not be available. You will be kept informed whether this is possible at the start of each session. Our live Q&A sessions will be powered by Sli.do
