Acting chief executive Dean Beale has been given the chief executive role permanently.
Beale took up the interim chief executive role in September and took on the role on a permanent basis on December 2, 2019.
Prior to this, he was director of strategy and change for the Insolvency Service, overseeing policy development, regulation of the insolvency sector and leading the department’s transformation programme.
Beale has worked in the insolvency field for over 20 years in a variety of roles. He has been an official receiver, acting as a trustee in bankruptcy and liquidation cases, and has undertaken many insolvency-related investigations.
In addition to his public sector experience, Beale also spent time at PwC as a forensic accountant investigating fraud and managing commercial disputes.
